  I like this quite a bit. There were a few pages that run hollow though... the "drink, dance and be merry" seemed a bit forced.
  
  I also wonder if the line about playing on long summer evenings was meant to include "on" (I long to play on long...).
  
  But on the whole, very nice story. It has the same magical whimsy of the art.
