Beautiful images. Can't help but wonder if this narrator is the "cat" or the author herself. I'd put my money in the second option but am reminded of the existence of the (very convenient) lyricself! ;)
Thank you, keegan and malu! Well, the lyric self is an invention of the author, so they´re basically the same person only in two different roles, or positions. The cat is a reminder for the author of her own nature, or the nature she identifies with. :-)

It was short, but beautiful. I think it really was. Freedom is such an important thing.
