@BubblePOP2 Well, in the story, the little boy clearly really likes his dad, and I wanted to show that the dad could do lots of fun and crazy things that didn't fit what the boy thought a dad should do, and that that was fine. This story is not really autobiographical, (about me and my dad). I hope that other people can relate to the kid in the story, like I did when I wrote about him.
@aidanrissa see above response to Bubble. And I'm glad you liked the ending. The whole story relies on the ending, which it was building towards, and you might find that it helps to read it again with the ending in mind.
