Yes, Claudia7777, my Dad has been progressively deteriorating with Alzheimer's for about 7 years now and he is a very special part of my children's life, his family means the world to him and he to us.
It almost made me cry it was so touching, my grandma has alzhimerz since I was three!
What a sweet story!I got tears in my eyes!

OMG! I feel so bad for you. My dad has MS so all we do together is watch TV and go on the computer. (mostly I go on the computer) in fact, I don't even live with him. My parents are devorced. (plus he needs help taking a shower) :(

Alzheimer's is so devastating and not many people realise that it is an uncurable terminal disease 100% of the time, even the treatments available don't slow it down, they just mask the effects for a while. Not many things bring tears to my eyes, but this story had them streaming down my cheeks.

If you stare into his eyes, and just spend a little time with him you will see he is the same and even though he might not remember you, he really does. You just ave to get the memmories out and share it with him as a friendly talk.
My grandpa had cancer, and it made us all very sad. Thanks for sharing, :)
