A very nice introduction to Storybird. I'm honored that you used some of my artwork.
That was excellently done- and very helpful to new users! I think I will share your story (if that's okay with you of course!) at our next staff meeting!

I'm glad you found it helpful. Please do share. It's been amazing to watch how quickly the students figure out how to use Storybird and get engaged with their writing. It's a perfect tool for teachers that are a little hesitant to integrate technology into the classroom for fear that the software will be too difficult to navigate. It's so self-explanatory the kids can figure it out with very little help. It also works great on a digital whiteboard.
I used it the other day for editing practice. I wrote a story full of spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes and had the second grade edit it. The goal was to publish. Once they had found all the mistakes, we published and read the story together as a class. It was a blast.
Enjoy! How do you plan to use Storybird? Let me know if you come up with any cool uses.

Ditto, missgreer! My students have never been so excited to do the 4 steps of the writing process to get to the 5th step of publishing on Storybird. They simply LOVE it! Also, it's a wonderful tool for my English Language Learners to be heard world-wide. They love sending to realtives overseas.
how do you use more than one illustrator?
To use more than one illustrator, I'm fairly certain you need to start your Storybird using a theme from the tag cloud. If you start through the "Get inspired by Art" and choose an artist, I'm fairly certain you are then limited to that particular artist's work. If someone else knows the official answer to this question, please share! :)
thanks!

Great intro to Storybird! It's very useful information. Thanks! For more than 1 illustrator here's the simplest way to do it:
1. Click on Create.
2. If you scroll down, beneath the pictures, there are tags. If you happen to see a tag that you like, click on it. If you clicked on "birds" you would have many pictures of birds.
3. Click on, "Start a Storybird with This Art" and away you go!
Hope it helped! And sorry about the length of this comment! Great story!
Thanks for the input. :)
