I think it is an awesome idea if they can figure out how to do it. There are legal issues they have to deal with.

I think this would be a great idea!! Perhaps there could be some way of getting parental permission for kids to take part.
I know how excited I was when I got a ribbon on one of my books - and it would be lovely to encourage young Storybird authors in this way.
Remember if your parents or other adults you know are on Storybird, you ARE allowed to collaborate on a story and submit it together for a challenge. You need to make sure you both work on it and I think the adult needs to publish it. Hope that helps!

like it its really nice for kids
Well, personally, even though it would be great if kids could participate, for legal and liability purposes, I think it's better that kids don't participate in such challenges. Way to speak out for the benefit of kids, though!

Love the idea, kids deserve challenges, however I'm sure tons of stories that have nothing to do with the theme will be tossed in

We aren't aloud to have challenges!? SERIOUSLY! I joined when the challenges were on hiatus! I didn't know kids can't! I DEMAND being able to do challenges!
Here's an idea, but it's not as good as a real challenge...
Story bird KIDS make their own.
I know some people are already doing that but we all should!
