I think this a great book. Don't listen to what other people say about it. If it's a great book you'll know it in your heart. I really do hope you write more stories and can you possibly check out mine? Remember what I said about whether or not it's a good story. I think you'll need it and so will everyone else. How DID you get those pictures
@softballplayer28: they're from an artist who wasn't able to upgrade his artwork from our "trial" phase. These are low resolution images that won't print, and all current artists need to use high-resolution, print-friendly artwork.

Just saying---the pics of the black bird that looks like it has a face on it-yes that's a bird of paradise; it doesn't live underwater.
They're on pg. 4 and 6 I believe.

Simply devine. I have always had a fear of what was under the ocean...close to the ocean floor. Dark and gloomy, I'm pretty sure. Gives me shivers. :) Snorkling I'm ok with, but scuba? I think I'll pass. :)

The ocean can be beautiful and scary at the same time. And I guess I'm happy nothing bad to me has happened to me because of the ocean yet. Still, it's a beautiful place, and it's filled with many wonders.

@mark Thanks lots. ;) I'm trying real hard to boost PS3's confidence in writing (she says she totally hates it, and she is the worst at it) so I thought maybe if one of our books were in New and Noted or got a ranking in Lala's community challenge, would help her. I actually MADE her enter the challenge. She's competitive, I knew she'd like it. ;)

I liked this a lot. It was simple, but with a twist--the reveal of the bird's point of view, which I didn't expect. What gorgeous, haunting artwork, also.
I went scuba diving twice--it's a whole other world under there.
I want to be a good writer like you, someday.
