This is really lovely. I know there were some Storybird blips while making it, but the final story was worth it. It's going on my reading list!
I didn't mind the "ladybugs" and "fliccups." They're helping to improve Storybird. It was a blast to write this. Irisz's glorious watercolors shaped this tale. The story was already there in her images, I just had to figure out the puzzle and piece it together.

Thanks, Adam & Kaye. Re lots of text: Mark informed me that the paragraph breaks will return as soon as a bug is fixed. This Storybird reads more smoothly with them, but they disappeared after I published. The thumbnails show how the text originally appeared.

Someone mentioned that they used two "returns" on paragraphs and it worked. If you want, try that for now and see what happens.
(The overall bug is still logged ;)
That's what I did, I used two returns to make the space between paragraphs. Curious as to why that space remained on page 3 but disappeared on every other page.
I misunderstood what you said, Mark. I see another story with two returns between paragraphs. Is there a way to edit this one and give it a try?
Click the "Edit Story" link in the "About this Storybird" section up above/to the right (only you can see that). Like a blog post, you can re-edit a SB after publishing as often as you like.

Funny how important paragraph breaks are! But they do make a difference to both writer and reader. Glad you were able to get it to work. Read it again. Charming.

Hey Tara, an art-director-ish comment: try shifting the tree on page 11 from the right side to the left: it crops more naturally that way. If you like that, I'd then shift the balloon image on page 12 from the left to the right: it not only alternates with the change on page 11, but the balloons look like they're floating away off the page rather than being stopped by the text.
Officially turning off art-director-mark now.

Oh My Golly Gosh. That is by far THE BEST STORY-BIRD I HAVE EVER READ! How did you come up with a story like that? The pictures were used SO WELL and you wrote it so beautifully! I am so glad I read that Story-Bird and I wish I could print it! My stories seem horrible compared to YOURS! Yours are FANTASTIC, AMAZING, SPECTACULAR, WONDROUS, INSPIRING, and just plain old GREAT. :) Keep on writing! :)

love that storybird! it is the cutest one ever!!!!! LOL i loved the part when the girl told you her doll ran away because she was starting school!!!! Although i have never heard of running away animals with suit cases and that could make celery smoothies! I never heard of a bunny that could do hopscotch but, thats why i love this book its different but, creative! I am putting on my reading list!
