My Book Of Poems
CHAPTER
1
Childhood
The stars are winking
The clouds have gone away
C’mon my children!
It is time to play!
Through the forest and over the moon,
Young like the butterfly in a cocoon,
Enjoy these days while they last,
For times like this will pass by fast,
Then one day, we will all grow old
Older than steel, copper and gold
Please my child
Do not cry
I will sing you a lullaby
Rock a bye baby on the tree top
Everything ends
Everything stops
