@1566: yeah, it was taking a bit long to load the page ;) But I kinda liked having our first year history in just one place. It's like a transcript of the community's memory.
@fallgirl: when we released the first version of Storybird, we all celebrated with chocolate-covered bacon. (Well, everyone but me. I just had regular dark chocolate.)

oh! i wanted to shre my idea on this page, hereit is:
here is somthing i do, u know how it feels to get a new comment? to well up with joy? Well, i go to peoples storybirds and if i find an author, i go and read ALL of their storybirds! Then, in return i ask them to read mine, or instead, read others and comment on them! Let the comment circle begin!
P.s. if u want more info read my storybird: "The Idea!" i hope that putting my idea on here will get more people to join!

@thecreator: no, just Storybird. We're kinda/sorta thinking of a teen writing site that's a bit more mature for sci-fi, goth, fantasy, etc. But we're a small team right now and have to stay focused.

how long before you get an embed code for a storybird? Or am I not looking in the correct place?

@dbmartin: if you're a teacher with an active Class account, embeds are available immediately for Class or Assignment work. Otherwise, all public Storybirds go through moderation and take from 12-24 hours before the embeds appear.
Is there anyway to add more pictures as options to use while working on a story? I try and pick the best grouping but always wish I could look and bring in a picture that isn't on my board.
what does click permalink on a comment page do???

I have a problem. I just saw some artwork and would like to use it, but whenever I click on the artist (Pascal Campion) I look at her\his artwork. But, I can't find the right picture I would like to use. Where can I find this picture?

@ikvuse: Pascal has so much art it's split into two shops:

The first is the playful stuff, the second is the family/love stuff.
We'll eventually have artist "sets" so we don't have to do this, but for now you'll have to choose which shop/portfolio you want to work with.

@jordan9984: use "themes" on the Create page, or do an image search and use the "Start a Storybird with these images" button. It'll launch all the art from a tag/theme, no matter what artist.

HarrisonX, your stories are not public. You have to click on public (not private)before you publish your story if you want anyone to read them.

I just noticed something, and I thought you might want to know. kre8kolors story, Grumpy Alone, was copied by a person named thirdgraders. They have the same pictures, story and title. (But thirdgrader's story has an exclaimation point at the end.) Is there a rule against this????

@ikvuse: it may be artwork that Pascal removed. That happens from time to time.
@icbico: sometimes younger kids will copy older kids. Sometimes they know they shouldn't but do it anyway and many times it's because that's how they learn: by copying.
If you have any concerns, you can always leave a nice note on their comment stream and ask if they had intentionally copied the story. They'll often respond.
@1999forev: you assign an age range when you publish your book.
