“The thing I love the most about Storybird is being a part of something that, in a very simple and effective way, encourages people to be creative. And it works. I’m constantly amazed by their ability to take my fairly simple and fairly silly illustrations and build complex worlds around them - worlds that I could never have dreamed up. Each writer adds their own brand of drama, mystery, beauty, quirkiness, or hilarity (or sometimes all of the above). I never get bored of reading them. I love it.”
“Storybird is a very different experience than I’ve had working in a traditional publishing format. Creating the illustrations is more of a collaborative effort between the writer and I. I’ve loved reading a writer’s serialized longform book in its rough, unfinished stage and am excited that my artwork has helped to inspire that writing. I’m excited to see where the story goes over the coming months!”
“I absolutely love Storybird! I feel connected with the creative minds of authors and storytellers - kids and adults. We can influence each other, engage heart to heart, laugh, and inspire each other. As an artist I see that my visual language is understood and transformed into new ideas and stories. Storybird is awesome!”
