A Poem
Forgotten
I’ve been forgotten.
Overgrown.
Abandoned.
Nobody looks at me anymore. Nobody talks to me.
People go out of their way to avoid me.
I still stand there, strong, sturdy.
But inside, I’m beginning to rot.
I need help. I need someone to take me,
Notice what’s happening,
And fix me,
Or I might just crumble
Into a pile of ashes.
Gone forever.
I need someone to see me for who I am,
Embrace me
And make me new again.
I’ve been forgotten,
And I’m just trying to get found
In this ever growing bramble of people.
